Gordon Hendricks
The best Elvis tribute on the planet!

Gordon Hendricks appeared as ELVIS on Stars In Their Eyes and won the 2005 Grand Final with a record 84,895 viewer votes, which represented a massive 32% of the total vote for the 10 artistes appearing.

Gordon performance so impressed award winning Song Writer Geoff Morrow that he has signed Gordon to his Yellow Records label. Geoff Morrow has written hit songs for Elvis, Barry Manilow, The Carpenters, Billy Fury and many many more but when he saw Gordon’s performance he was moved to state

“Over the years I have heard many Presley impersonators but when Gordon started to sing I actually shivered.”

Geoff penned five songs for Elvis, four of which he recorded. The fifth song, Where Would I Be, was written in 1977 but unfortunately Elvis died before he could record it.

“Where Would I Be” has been recorded by Gordon and will be his first single, to be released in Autumn 2006.
Geoff Morrow commented: “I believe Gordon has recaptured the spirit of the song and Elvis.”

On stage Gordon looks like Elvis; his voice is uncannily like Elvis; his actions are like Elvis; to those who think they have seen everything when it comes to Elvis tribute acts, Gordon is the one that makes them think again. The only way to describe Gordon’s Performance is ELECTRIC.

Gordon was born in 1971,too young to remember the early Elvis, so how does Gordon recapture those early years so authentically. It is his love of the one named the King, his style, but most importantly his music, from rock’ n ‘roll to Gospel, (it is one of Gordon’s ambitions to record a gospel album, as did Elvis).

At a very early age Gordon had a leaning to and a love of music. Some may say brainwashed by his family’s choices, He was exposed to a variety of musical styles, including Country, Rock N Roll, and especially Elvis. His early exposure and natural talent have made him probably the most talented vocal tribute act to take to the stage.

Gordon’s first full performance was in 2003; he found the audience response to be overwhelming.
For those who missed Elvis in concert around 1968, Gordon’s show is a chance to relive the excitement created by the young Elvis. Gordon captures Elvis at his very best vocally, and his shows cover the full range of the Elvis songbook.

Gordon has had a few memorable times lately “One stands out more than most, in 2004 whilst on holiday in Memphis I visited B B Kings Blues Club where I was invited to sing with the house band, It proved so successful that the customers and the band kept me on stage for over an hour. It was fantastic.”

Since winning the Grand Final of Stars in their Eyes Gordon has been wowing his ever growing fans around the country, with sell out shows which are without doubt an EXPERIENCE, it’s as if Elvis himself is on that stage - maybe just maybe he is.
